4get-me-not Alzheimer's Organization presented to HH Shk. Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan

Abu Dhabi, 03 March 2017: In observance of Brain Awareness Month , 4get-me-not Alzheimer's Founding Committee was presented by Dr. Maryam Matar, Founder & Chairperson of UAE Genetic Diseases Association (GDA) to HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.  Desiree Vlekken, Founder & Executive Director of 4get-me-not Alzheimer's had the rare opportunity to discuss with HH Sheikh Nahyan about the organization and initiatives with UAE Generic Diseases for 2017.  Together with fellow committee members Birgit Ertl, Ingrid Sahoo and Anu Bhatnagar, the visit concluded with a beautiful luncheon reception at the Majlis.

The first and the leading Filipino newspaper in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) celebrated their 5th year anniversary at The Address Hotel, Dubai Marina.  Kabayan Weekly is a media platform that focuses on delivering news and information to all Filipino expatriates, as well as to other nationalities in the UAE through a newspaper, magazine and news website. The newspaper informs, entertains and educates as it updates its readers on the latest news events and entertainment.  Public service contents are written both in English andn Tagalog - The Filipino native tongue.

Coinciding with Kabayan Weekly's 5th year anniversary is the announcement of Kabayan of the Year 2016 where Desiree O. Vlekken, Founder & CEO of 4get-me-not Alzheimer's was nominated and proclaimed as the winner.

 

Purple cupcake for Brain Awareness Week

Every March, the global campaign 'Brain Awareness Week'  (BAW) unites efforts of partner organizations like 4get-me-not Alzheimer's in a celebration of the brain of all ages. To mark this special occassion a purple coloured 4get-me-not cupcake was created and shared among support groups and volunteers of 4get-me-not Alzheimer's.
